When I first arrived in India, I thought it was just for a visit. Today, fifteen years later, I’m still here, living in the Himalayas…

Karma, Chai & Consciousness grew over years, shaped by travels through India and Tibet, places as mystical and monumental as the questions we carry inside. Free from religious labels, I explore paths to deeper awareness and timeless consciousness. From the vivid temple towns of Vrindavan and Haridwar to the majestic stillness of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, each journey became a gateway, revealing what I needed to realise or to unlearn.

This isn’t a checklist of holy sites. It’s a book about perception and presence. And by revisiting certain power spots over time, I noticed how my view of them, and of myself, changed. You’ll feel the shifts in these pages. Thank goodness, I evolved! And in this sense, this memoir is an unusual guide in discernment. It traces geography and sheds light on subtle aspects of our time: from quantum fields and energetic distortions to clairsentience and processes of psyche and spirit.

Written from the vantage point of a German living in India, who bridges West and East, the mundane and the mystical, I share what pilgrimage can cultivate in us: courage, a sense of humour, humility, a felt connection to the divine, equanimity and self-realisation.

The real pilgrimage begins wherever consciousness awakens. May this book inspire reflection and offer cross-cultural insight. More than a travel story, this is an invitation to perceive the magical in everyday life, to feel more and to listen to our inner knowing.
